September is the obvious time to plan ahead for the coming academic year; whether you are just starting your PhD, mid way through, or nearing completion. It is a valuable opportunity to think about what you hope to achieve this year, look ahead to events and workshops you want to attend, and ensure you have time to relax and focus on all of the other aspects of your life. Your calendar can (and probably will!) fill up quickly and it is easy to end up missing important events, overburdening yourself, and not making the progress you and your supervisors will have expected.
