Periodicals take many forms, including essays, newspapers, magazines, and serialized novels. This conference aims to bring together scholars studying periodical literature from its beginnings to the present. Proposals on periodicals written in languages other than English are welcome and encouraged. Both faculty and postgraduate students in the CHASE consortium are warmly encouraged to send proposals.
CHASE funded students receive AHRC International Placement Scheme award
Three CHASE-funded students are among the twenty-seven postgraduate students and early career researchers[VL1] across the UK who have been offered the opportunity to enhance their research with an international fellowship at the Library of Congress, Washington DC and the Harry Ransom Center, Austin, Texas.
Cohort Development Fund – Call for proposals
The CHASE AHRC Doctoral Training Partnership will welcome a second cohort of students in autumn 2015, complementing the current 74 CHASE funded scholars. The addition of SOAS and Birkbeck to CHASE means scholars from these institutions will also benefit from Cohort Development Fund training and development opportunities.

The CHASE AHRC Doctoral Training Partnership has now selected its first cohort of 74 PhD students. These students will automatically have access to the training and development activities already being delivered by all members of the CHASE consortium.
The CHASE Training and Development Group (TDG) invites proposals from faculty across all CHASE institutions and disciplines to run training and development activities/events that match the aims of this fund during the academic years 2014-15 & 2015-16.
