All newly CHASE funded doctoral students are required to attend all sessions below. Established CHASE funded student students are able to attend any session below they wish to.
Please ensure you have read the CHASE handbook and completed the induction module prior to the first session.

1100 to 1200 – Welcome to CHASE
The CHASE team will introduce themselves, followed by a Q&A on CHASE studentships.
1200 to 1215 – Choreographic Devices
Dr Edgar Schmitz (Goldsmiths) will introduce this upcoming CHASE training event.
1215 to 1230 – Feminist and Queer Archives research network
CHASE funded students Lily Evans-Hill (Goldsmiths) and Hatty Nestor (Birkbeck) will introduce this research network, which they co-lead.
1230 to 1300 – The Brilliant Club
Join Siri Minsaas (Regional Manager (South), The Brilliant Club) to find out more about this CHASE partner organisation, their scholars’ programme, and placement opportunities with the organisation.
1400 to 1500 – Searching Digital
Dr Nada Zecevic (Goldsmiths) will run a taster session for this upcoming CHASE training programme.

1100 to 1200 – CHASE training and training needs analysis + Q&A
Prof. Jo Drugan (CHASE Deputy Director) and Dr Steven Colburn (CHASE Placements and Partnerships Officer) will introduce you to the CHASE training programme, talk you through completing your training needs analysis, and answer any questions you have about CHASE training.
1400 to 1500 – Material Witness
Join Alixe Bovey (Dean and Deputy Director, Courtauld Institute of Art), Teresa Lane (CHASE funded student, Courtauld Institute of Art) and colleagues for an introduction to the 2020/21 edition of Material Witness.

1400 to 1500 – CHASE placements briefing + Q&A
Join Dr Steven Colburn (CHASE Placements and Partnerships Officer) for an introduction to the CHASE placement scheme and your chance to ask any questions you have about placements. The session will also feature a short talk from Alice Zamboni (current CHASE funded student, Courtauld Institute of Art) who will talk about her recent placement with the Wellcome Collection.

Clare Hunt (CHASE Co-ordinator) will give an overview of how CHASE will keep in touch with you and how you can contact CHASE throughout your studentship.
1200 to 1300 – Medieval and Early Modern Society (MEMS) and CHASE
Join CHASE funded student Roisin Astell and Dr Robert Gallagher (both University of Kent) to find out about the University of Kent based Medieval and Early Modern Society, how CHASE supports it, and how you can get involved at any CHASE member institution.
