Following on from the success of last year’s inaugural event, I am very pleased to be a co-convener of the 2nd Royal Musical Association’s Music and Philosophy Study Group’s second workshop on the Philosophy of Human+Computer Music, which will be held in the University of Sheffield on 27th May 2015.
The organizers are very pleased that the CHASE DTP has generously sponsored the event.
This year’s event will have two standard paper presentation sessions followed by a keynote (pun intended) performance by Pete Furniss, a clarinettist whose music is mediated through computer technology.
In addition to myself, CHASE will be further represented by Dr David Roden from the Philosophy Department at the Open University who will be chairing the discussions in the keynote session.
Registration is heavily discounted for CHASE students (only £10, including lunch and drinks) and it would be good to see more CHASE people there on the day. The programme and abstracts can be seen by following the link.
