Call for Papers
The Arts and Humanities in the Digital Age programme has provided postgraduate researchers with an introduction to the main methods, practices and technologies of digital research in the arts and humanities since 2014. It is funded by the Consortium for Humanities and the Arts South-East England (CHASE). This conference seeks to bring together former and current participants and session leaders to explore recent applications of these methods, practices and technologies within and beyond the Consortium. It also encourages contributions from professionals across the university sector and in cultural heritage organisations whose roles support and strategically develop digital humanities initiatives.
Contributions can take one of the following forms:
- Speakers: We welcome research students and academic staff within CHASE to present a short paper (20 minutes) on their current project, with particular attention to the advantages and challenges of the methods employed.
- Discussants: We welcome research students, academic and administrative staff from CHASE who would lead a parallel session on one of the following themes:
○ Embedding digital humanities in learning and teaching
○ Developing digital humanities postgraduate research
○ Developing and sustaining digital humanities across the sector
Contributors should submit a short statement (maximum of 300 words) through the online form [include link to CHASE website here] by 12:00 noon on 16 February 2018.
